Energy Democracy

The Future of Energy

In her talk Dr. Feldpausch-Parker will showcase a research framework meant to inform both scholarship and practice, in an attempt to bring democratic practice to the forefront of climate and energy action.

Dr. Feldpausch-Parker's current work addresses the need for a research agenda and framework for the growing energy democracy social movement. In her work with Drs. Danielle Endres from the University of Utah and Tarla Rai Peterson from the University of Texas, El Paso, they have developed an international network of researchers addressing this new area of scholarship and practice. Dr. Feldpausch-Parker was also recently awarded an NSF grant to study the energy democracy movement in Puerto Rico with her colleague, Dr. Danielle Endres, starting this fall.
